The third annual East Side Pride Parade marched and rode down Ewing Avenue on Friday evening, from busy 106th Street to Egger's Grove Forest Preserve, at 112th and Avenue E. Organized by Bridges//Puentes Justice Collective of the Southeast, the celebrants gathered first at Toci La Diosa , a retail collective and art space, for an hour of happy music, dancing in the street, and rainbow flag waving to the passing motorists. "We celebrate the uniqueness of each individual and honor the diversity that enriches our journey!" proclaimed Isis, of Bridges, speaking to group before stepping off. "May all of our shared journey be filled with warmth, love, a joy to be our true selves. Give it up for East Side Pride!"
